He is an accomplished teacher of Irish bouzouki accompaniment, guitar and tenor guitar, bodhran accompaniment and can also facilitate workshops for start up music groups looking to gain perspective and advantage  in stagecraft and the arrangement of songs and instrumentals.  Mike has taught at the Irish World Academy, the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, in numerous festival workshops and privately.

Mike specializes in DADGAD guitar tuning to accompany traditional Irish music.

Skype is the long distance option and opens the world up to learn Irish music. Mike will be starting Skype lessons in May 2012.

If you live in the Los Angeles area lessons can be conducted in your home or in Mikes. He is available for workshops and group lessons on bodhran (5 maximum) and bouzouki (three maximum). Travel is not a problem if there are larger workshop groups interested in learning these instruments.
